A Texas father turned himself in two days ago and went to jail for being late with his child support payment, which was caused by clerical errors with the automatic withdrawals from his payment — even though he caught up with the child support payment soon after he found out. He was also found to have spent too much time with his son, according to his agreement. He is now serving 6 months in jail.
The father is asking how this is in the best interest of the child? I must say I am asking the same question as well. I’d like to hear from family lawyers and other divorce professionals about how you feel about this case. Please leave your comments here.
